There is no password. Anyone who knows or guesses this address sees exactly the same messages you do. Short, obvious names are opened by strangers regularly, often with no bad intent. Treat everything here as public.

After seven days it is gone

Incoming messages and their attachments are deleted automatically after 7 days. There is no reminder beforehand, no archive, no recovery. Download anything you want to keep before then.

You do not have to wait for that. You can delete any message yourself as soon as you no longer need it. That is the only way to get one out of an open mailbox before the seven days expire.

What should never arrive here

Passwords and login links, two-factor codes, invoices and contracts, health, ID or banking data. Anyone who knows the address reads such messages too and can use the links in them before you see them. Rule of thumb: if it would harm you the moment someone else reads it, it does not belong in an open mailbox. What we store, and for how long, is in the privacy policy.
